DVIDS – Video – Immediate Response Termination Training

KABOOM! Soldiers from the Kentucky National Guard's 577th Engineer Company conduct demolition training in Libava, Czech Republic, as part of Immediate Response 24. For their annual training, these soldiers traveled more than 4,600 miles to demonstrate to U.S. forces the ability to respond quickly in times of need.

DEFENDER is a dynamic force deployment in Europe for NATO deterrence and enhanced readiness and a U.S. European Command-planned, U.S. Army-led exercise in Europe and Africa consisting of Saber Strike, Immediate Response and Swift Response. DEFENDER 24 is associated with NATO's Steadfast Defender exercise and the Department of Defense's large-scale global exercise, running March 28-May 31. DEFENDER 24 is the U.S. Army's largest exercise in Europe and includes more than 17,000 U.S. and 23,000 multinational military personnel from more than 20 allied and partner countries, including Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Georgia, Hungary and Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
