Biography:

Samir Kochhar, an Indian actor and television presenter, rose to prominence as the host of the Indian Premier League pre-match show, Extraaa Innings T20. He is currently seen in Netflix India's Sacred Games. Kochhar began his career as a co-host of Doordarshan's AIDS awareness and travel show Haath Se Haath Mila, along with Sugandha Garg. He made his Bollywood debut in 2003 with Sumeer Sabharwal's bilingual film Valentine Days.

Kochhar's career on television began with Dangerous, a sex-themed talk show that aired on Zoom. He played Rajat Kapur in the soap opera Bade Acche Lagte Hain. His film roles include roles in Mohit Suri's Zeher (2005) and the thriller Jannat (2008), in which he played a police inspector.

His performance in 'Island City', directed by Ruchika Oberoi, garnered praise at the Venice International Film Festival and the JIO MAMI Film Festival 2015. He will also be seen in American filmmaker John Unchurch's 'Mango Dreams'. Kochhar is associated with Celebrity Cricket League team Mumbai Heroes.

In 2016, Kochhar had two commercial releases: Housefull 3, starring Akshay Kumar and Mango Dreams, and Hume Tumse Pyaar Kitna, starring Karanvir Bohra and directed by Lalit Mohan, which is scheduled for release in 2018.

Kochhar was born on May 23, 1980 and married his long-term partner Radhika on January 9, 2010. They welcomed their first child, a son named Kabir, in April 2015, followed by a daughter named Sara in October 2017.
