Anyone who has followed the story of Bungie and Destiny since 2014 knows that the road to The Final Shape was not easy. determinationAlthough it is a popular and ambitious action live service game, it has shared its ups and downs over the past 10 years. With Fate 2's last expansion, The final formit's impossible to deny that Bungie spared no expense in crafting the ultimate finale, creating an army of Guardians to celebrate everything that makes the game so popular, and showing that potential fans always knew Fate 2 could achieve.

Created for the fans, The final form sets high standards for the future of determinationwhich hopefully will not disappear anytime soon. Whether it is a New Light or an experienced Guardian who has been there from day one, Fate 2: The final form welcomes all Guardians to witness the end of the Light versus Darkness saga that began a decade ago.

The final formThe central aspect is by far the most important, as Bungie needed to create a memorable finale where fans would be satisfied with both the journey and its conclusion. The final form tries to offer an exciting ending to a story that didn't really have its beginning 10 years ago. It's no secret that previous expansions couldn't keep up with The Possessed Kingor Abandonedbut everything depends on The final formBungie delivered an experience that exceeded our expectations and desires.

A deeply rewarding story enriched by its characters

The universe in Destiny 2 has never felt so alive

The campaign begins with the players' Guardians entering the portal that the Witness carved into the Traveler, as seen at the climax of last year's Lightfall. It feels like this moment has been a long time coming; a year of seasonal content and more insights into this universe-threatening villain has now led to this point, where hope remains the strongest ally in the darkness.

The final formSome of Bungie's best work to date, The Final Shape's story is a stellar achievement in terms of text, dialogue, and emotion. Players don't just have to run around and scan items with their minds. Instead, they explore the Pale Heart with urgency and fear, discovering more secrets and dangers from the Witness' corruption. While experienced players might be familiar with some locations in the Pale Heart, the twisted designs make it unrecognizable and exciting to explore, especially when the mission format is constantly changing with new mechanics and improvised escapes, all with the goal of progressing further into the Traveler.

The characters that contribute to this goal are those that are most important for Fate 2The story of Vanguard: Ikora Rey, Zavala, a mysteriously resurrected Cayde-6, and the outsider Crow, the former enemy who has now been reborn as one of the game's most important and complex Guardians. With these characters The final form really comes together and allows them to breathe and become individuals in a darker and more intense story that is earned by the promised end of all things.

The final form is much more serious than other expansions, and it's nice to see the campaign treated with urgency, tension, and respect. Just as the campaign unfolds with each mission, so do the characters. Special mention goes to Cayde-6, Crow, and of course Zavala, whose portrayal is now led by Keith David following the tragic death of Lance Reddick. For Zavala in particular, this is an important journey, as his loyalty and unconditional love for the Traveler has been constantly tested over the years we've known him. In return, he's met with nothing but grief and silence – making him the perfect victim for the Witness's clutches. This villainous character acts as a direct threat this time around, bringing some of the creepiest and most intriguing aspects in all of determination.

Bungie is treating fans to a 10-year anniversary celebration that is definitely worth the wait.

Each character has his struggles and conflicts in The final formwhich makes it easy to become one of the Fate 2The best expansion, if not the best. Nathan Fillion returns as Cayde-6 and provides coolness and a little lighthearted relief, but never in moments where they are unjustified. Without giving too much away, Cayde's story in The final form is beautifully handled and fits perfectly with the well-known Guardians, his Fireteam and his reborn Killer Crow. Each of these central characters in The final form conveys a sense of humanity and emotion, culminating in a powerful narrative through performance and dialogue. Bungie is gifting fans with a 10-year celebration that's worth the wait, especially when it comes to the new powers.

Light and darkness harmonize and create unique guardians

Prismatic encourages each Guardian to be unique

With each expansion, you should expect Guardians to get a few powers to engage with, showing both their loyalty to the game and their mastery of its mechanics. With The final formBungie is giving players Prismatic, an exciting subclass that combines familiar elements and abilities from both light and dark powers, opening up a toybox of potential for the type of Guardians player. Players aren't tied to a vendor with Prismatic and are encouraged to experiment with these abilities and discover different variations of them, creating the opportunity for some of the most fun games to come out of Fate 2 while the Guardians focus on shaping their own individual destinies.

No matter how powerful or unconventional, Prismatic opens up the potential to become a legend. Every player has a unique flair in what they like Fate 2: not just in PvE or PvP content, but also in their outfit choice, weapons, and class, and now more than ever, their subclass. Being able to freely choose from a range of skills and unlock even more allows Guardians new and old to express themselves. And even better, Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks all get another Super Ability to use, with no tedious grinding required to have fun.

The skills acquired during The final form make the newest enemy faction the perfect cannon fodder, as players can test their powers on the Dread, Fate 2's newest faction in six years. Fate 2The shootings of have always been exciting and addictive, and The final form increases the fun even further thanks to these enemies, which present a greater challenge to those who seek it out. The Dread are loyal to the Witness, and their manipulation of the forces of darkness makes them more savage and cunning than the average Hive Thrall, with a greater variety of opponents, for some can fly and suppress, while others can hunt and strike.

Throughout the campaign and the Salvation's Edge raid, players will face terror, with each encounter being as entertaining as it is unpredictable, as being pulled like a rubber band by enemies with strands makes for plenty of chaotic action moments. On the topic of the raid, it's worth noting that Salvation's Edge continues Bungie's tradition of tasking 6-Guardian fireteams with completing multiple difficult encounters to bring about Finality.

The final is for everyone

Old and new players can experience the ultimate ending

As someone who enjoys raids but hasn't yet found the courage to enter competitive mode and face the unknown, I've had a lot of fun cheering on those entering Salvation's Edge. The mechanics seem as challenging as ever, and the atmosphere, narrative, and fate of all things are captivating. Even as a spectator, the significance of Salvation's Edge feels all too real. Guardians wait with bated breath for a fireteam to triumph for us all. Bungie truly excels at creating unforgettable 6-player experiences with their raids, where teamwork is essential. Whether the fireteam is made up of friends or strangers, we are all Guardians, and we all deserve a place in history.

Fate 2 can be experienced with friends, strangers, or even alone, and therefore the Finale is not reserved for those willing to dare a raid. Instead, all players, old and new, can participate in the Finale: a 12-player activity where they fight against the Witness alongside iconic characters and factions that players have allied themselves with over the past 10 years. Everyone is there for it, and the utter chaos of this Finale is unforgettable, tear-jerking, and instantly replayable. Everything has been building up to this moment, and the buildup of emotion granted an overwhelmingly triumphant and satisfying conclusion, but one that also raises the question of what comes next, other than hope for the future.

While the universe celebrates the prevention of its extinction, there is much debate about what the future holds determination and our Guardians. After all, the universe is a big place, and unknown or unresolved threats will emerge sooner or later. There may be uncertainty about where the Guardians go from here, but there is It is also a comfort to know that this is not the end, but a new beginning – one where each Guardian determines his or her own destiny.
