They will be taking part in the 42k race for the charity Heads Together and have been at the Olympic Park to train with volunteers and running champion Paula Radcliffe.

Kate looked effortlessly stylish in black skinny jeans, black and white sneakers and a bright red quilted jacket by Perfect Moment.

She was in a competitive mood for the race, tied her hair into a tight ponytail and competed against her husband, who, however, proved to be too fast for her.

Perhaps it was because of Williams' playful approach before the race, after he tried to hold his wife back by putting his arm across her chest.

After the race, however, an out-of-breath William turned to Kate and said: “You almost beat me.”

Prince Harry proved to be the fastest of the group and the 32-year-old glided across the finish line and seemed pleased with his performance.
